Summary: Manages assigned personnel, budgets, inventories, equipment and the distribution center in such a way as to meet and exceed the company’s objectives by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Responsible for the overall operation, coordination and productivity of all operations functions.

  • Manages, reviews, verifies, maintains and controls, budgets, forecasts, action plans, reports, inventory, invoices and work schedules.
  • Manages, directs, motivates, trains and assists subordinates. Makes personnel evaluations as well as hiring and termination decisions. Communicates and explains goals, concepts, ideas and opportunities.
  • Anticipates problems and develops solutions, plans, policies and regulations. Delegates and assigns tasks, projects and responsibilities.
  • Assists suppliers and customers with regards to credit, delivery and customer service issues.
  • Conducts and attends meetings, meetings, seminars, training sessions and budget reviews. Develops training and safety programs, production standards, goals and budgets.
  • Prepares and maintains required paperwork, reports and records. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Responsible for facility security and maintenance

 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

 

Manages several subordinate managers who supervise a total of 60+ employees in Operations. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience

     

    Beverage - Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 years previous management and operations experience with a retailer preferred.

     

     

    Language Skills

     

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

     

     

     

    Mathematical Skills

     

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

     

     

     

    Reasoning Ability

     

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

     

    Computer Skills

     

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database, spreadsheet and word processing software and order processing systems.

     

    Other Qualifications

     

  • Ability to regularly operate a motor vehicle.

  • Current state driver’s license.
